Behind the curtain: If he could star in any film for the day, he'd head straight to the dino enclosure. “It would be cool to be Maverick and fly jets, but being like Chris Pratt in Jurassic World is something you actually can’t do.”
“Most Everyman kitchens are similar, but sometimes I just look around a venue and realise how cool it is. Last year we catered for an event during the Edinburgh Film Festival and that was just stunning.”
“Brosnan Bond is my favourite Bond, Golden Eye is my favourite film.”
If he had to fight someone over the best scene in film though, it would be the car chase in Casino Royale, or LOTR Two Towers battle scene.
Current dream: “To attend a red carpet premiere of any Marvel film.
But also growing a business which is not yet known for its food is actually quite exciting. I’m really proud of everything that goes on our menu. I’d love us to get listed among other really good diners in casual conversations.”
Yami, Events Coordinator
Behind the curtain: For one day she'd like to be Julie from Worst Person In The World.
“At times when I can’t explain how I feel in a few words I’d say to a friend ‘Watch this film - I relate to how this film feels. They do the talking for me.”
Meet Yami, who works in our team as an events assistant.
Favourite work memory? She was once given some very fun brownies from A$AP Rocky when he came in for a private screening.
“Meet the Robinsons is one of my favourite films because it focuses on family. It shows that with a little love and nurture even those who don’t believe in themselves can become the greatest.”
She loves Matthew McConaughey films and is passionate about the link between fashion, film, and music. Her guitar is called Habib.
Serena, Director of Film
Behind the curtain: If she could be a film character for a day she would go for Princess Peach from the upcoming Super Mario Bros. Movie.
“One of the best scenes that I've seen in a cinema was the battle scene at the end of Avengers Endgame when everyone came back from the blip, and a little kid just leaped out of his seat and shouted 'Look Mum he's back, Spider-Man's back'. It was adorable.”
She pranks people in the office and owns an impressive collection of board games. Dune board game is the current favourite. Her favourite film changes on a daily basis so she refuses to name one.
Current dream “I really want to find a way for our audience to have a say in what we program.”
